Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health | HSIL Hackathon 2026
Built a clinical decision support system for Canadian hospital emergency departments facing chronic surge conditions. The platform helps reduce the 4.1-hour median wait times and addresses the 7.78% of patients who leave without being seen annually.
The system predicts patient volumes, calculates admission probabilities, and provides staffing recommendations - helping hospitals serve over 16 million unscheduled ED visits more effectively. Research informed by CIHI emergency department statistics and CAEP position statements on ED overcrowding.
